Installation notes

Follow these in order. Most reports of a failed install come from skipping a step rather than from the package itself.

1. Uninstall any older PDFelement or conflicting PDF editor first.
2. Disconnect from the network before you start.
3. Turn off real time protection for the duration.
4. Extract and run the installer as administrator.
5. Apply the included activation step, then launch once.
6. Close the application and reconnect the network.

Things worth knowing

• The assisted tools reach out to a service on some features, the core editing, conversion and OCR run fully offline.
• Redaction has to be applied to take effect, covering content in a viewer does not remove it.
• Turn off the updater if you want the version and activation state pinned exactly where they are.
