Everything published on this site is a catalogue record. Entries describe software titles, their versions, their packaging and their installation, and they are compiled for reference. Nothing on this site constitutes advice, and no outcome is warranted from following anything written here.

Accuracy

Entries are checked when catalogued and rechecked afterwards, with the time since the last check shown on every listing. Between checks, information goes out of date. Versions are superseded, packaging changes, mirrors stop responding. Treat the recheck time on a listing as the measure of how much weight to put on it, and report anything wrong through the contact page.

Trade marks and names

Product names, company names and version designations used across this site are used for identification only. Their use here does not imply any affiliation with, endorsement by, or relationship to the parties who hold them. Each name remains the property of its respective owner.

External destinations

Where this site points anywhere outside itself, no control is exercised over what is at the other end and no responsibility is taken for it. A destination that was appropriate when it was recorded may not stay that way.

Your responsibility

Deciding whether a title is appropriate to install on a given machine, and whether doing so is permitted in your circumstances, is yours alone. The installation notes on each entry describe how a package behaves, not whether you should run it. Back up anything you cannot afford to lose before making changes to a system, particularly where the entry concerns an operating system or a driver.
