About this release

This package carries both recent perpetual lines of the office suite in a single installer, so one download covers a mixed estate of machines. At setup you choose which release to deploy, which architecture, and which applications to include, and the installer pulls the right payload from the package.

The newer line is the one to pick for most machines. Excel gets the current function set with dynamic arrays, XLOOKUP and the newer text and array functions, Word and PowerPoint carry the refreshed interface with proper dark mode, and the whole suite matches the visual language of current Windows. The older line is still here for machines with add-ins or macros that have not been tested against the newer build.

Everything is the professional plus configuration, so Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Publisher are all present. Forty interface and proofing languages are included, and both architectures are in the package. The deployment configuration files are prepared for silent installation across several machines without touching each one by hand.

Installation notes

Follow these in order. Most reports of a failed install come from skipping a step rather than from the package itself.

  1. Remove any existing Office installation with the official removal tool.
  2. Disconnect from the network.
  3. Extract the archive to a short path such as C:\Setup.
  4. Run the launcher, choose your release, architecture and applications.
  5. Let the install finish without interruption.
  6. Open Word once, close it, then reconnect.

Questions about this title

Can I install both releases side by side?
No. Pick one per machine. The package exists so you only need one download to cover different machines, not to run both on one.
Which release should I choose?
The newer one unless you have an add-in or a macro that has not been tested against it.
Does it need a subscription?
No. Both lines here are the perpetual releases.
Can I choose which applications get installed?
Yes, application selection happens during setup, so you can skip Access and Publisher if you do not need them.
