About this release
KeyShot is the rendering tool that designers reach for when they want a photoreal image of a product without becoming a rendering specialist to get it. You import a CAD model, and it appears in a real time view that updates as you work. Drag a material onto a part and it takes it instantly, light the scene by choosing a photographic environment, and the render refines live in front of you.
That simplicity hides a serious engine. The material system covers metals, plastics, glass, liquids, cloth and more with physically accurate properties, the lighting comes from high dynamic range environments that wrap real world light around the model, and the camera controls give you depth of field, the right focal length and framing. The result is the kind of product shot that used to need a photography studio.
The Pro tier adds the parts that turn a still into a deliverable set. Animation for turntables and exploded assembly views, the KeyShot XR interactive spin output, a material graph for building complex custom looks, and scripting for automating repeated jobs across a product line. It reads the common CAD formats directly. The build here is the full Pro version with animation, the material graph and the library included.

Installation notes
Follow these in order. Most reports of a failed install come from skipping a step rather than from the package itself.
- Disconnect from the network before you begin.
- Extract the archive to a short path such as C:\Setup.
- Run the installer as administrator and complete the wizard.
- Apply the included activation step before first launch.
- Install the material and environment library when prompted.
- Launch once, then reconnect to the network.

Things worth knowing
- GPU rendering is dramatically faster on a capable card, though it falls back to the processor if needed.
