About this release
Kutools is an add-in that installs its own ribbon tabs into the spreadsheet application and fills them with the operations that everybody ends up performing manually, repeatedly, for years. Combining several sheets into one, splitting one sheet into many by a column value, merging cells without losing the contents, converting text that looks like numbers into actual numbers, removing every blank row in a selection, reversing the order of rows, transposing a range into a table. The strength is in the breadth rather than in any one tool. There are several hundred operations grouped by what they act on, cells, ranges, worksheets, workbooks, formulas, charts and text, and once you have used it for a while you stop reaching for the manual method entirely. Advanced find and replace works across every open workbook at once, duplicate handling covers finding, highlighting and removing across sheets, and the navigation panel lists every sheet, workbook, name and column in one sidebar.
There is also a set of things the application genuinely does not do on its own. Sending a personalised message to every row of a list, splitting a workbook into separate files per sheet, exporting a range as an image, inserting a sequence with a custom pattern, snapshotting a workbook state so you can roll back to it, and a formula helper that covers a long list of common calculations without you having to remember the syntax. Everything is undoable and nothing changes the file format.

Installation notes
Follow these in order. Most reports of a failed install come from skipping a step rather than from the package itself.
- Install the spreadsheet application first if it is not already present.
- Close every workbook and the application itself before you begin.
- Disconnect from the network.
- Run the installer as administrator, matching the architecture of your office install.
- Apply the included activation step before first launch.
- Open the application, confirm the new ribbon tabs appear, then reconnect.

Things worth knowing
- The add-in architecture must match the office install, a 32-bit suite needs the 32-bit build regardless of your system.
- If the ribbon tabs do not appear, check the disabled add-ins list in the application options, that is nearly always where it went.
- Operations are undoable, but on very large selections the undo step itself can take a moment.
