About this release
PowerDirector is the video editor that gets a good looking cut out of the door quickly. It pairs a timeline that behaves the way you expect with a large library of effects, titles, transitions and templates, so a lot of the polish that would be hand built elsewhere is a drag and drop away. It suits the editor who wants a capable tool without the long climb of a full professional application, and it is quick to learn without being shallow.
The Ultimate edition is the fuller package, with the complete effect and template library, multicam editing, motion tracking, keying against a green screen, and the audio tools to level dialogue and add music. Rendering leans hard on the graphics hardware, so exports and preview playback stay fast on a machine with a capable GPU, which is a large part of why it feels responsive where heavier editors chug.
Around the core timeline sit guided tools that handle common jobs without fuss. Automatic tools for stabilising shaky footage, correcting colour, and matching the look of two clips, plus title and transition designers for when the library is not quite enough. It reads the common camera formats, exports to the delivery formats and platform presets people actually need, and keeps the whole thing approachable from first launch to final render.

- Run the installer as administrator and finish the wizard.
- Apply the included activation step before you launch.

What people are saying
Got a polished cut out in an evening. The library does so much of the work for you.
Export flies on my card. Checked acceleration was on first like the note says.
Friendly enough that I was productive the first day. Deeper than it looks though.
