About this release
The Technical Suite is the branch of the Corel line aimed at people who draw for manuals rather than for advertising. The core drawing application is there, but the work it is built around is different, and so is everything wrapped around it. Illustrated parts catalogues, exploded assembly views, maintenance procedures, wiring and schematic sheets, and the callout and legend systems that hold all of that together are what this package is for.
The important capability is bringing engineering geometry in without losing it. Common CAD exchange formats import as real geometry rather than as a flattened picture, so a part drawing arrives with its lines intact and can be projected, sectioned, hidden line removed and restyled as an illustration. Once it is in, the isometric drawing tools, the dimensioning set and the callout objects turn geometry into something a person can follow with a spanner in their hand.
Publishing is the other half. Output is aimed at documentation delivery rather than at print advertising, so there are hotspot enabled interactive exports, structured output with the illustration data preserved, and a project level approach to keeping a manual's many sheets consistent. The package also carries the photo editing application, the font manager and the tracing tool from the wider suite, because a technical publication almost always ends up needing all three before it ships.

Installation notes
Follow these in order. Most reports of a failed install come from skipping a step rather than from the package itself.
- Remove any previous Corel suite installation before you begin.
- Disconnect from the network.
- Extract the archive to a short path such as C:\Setup.
- Run setup as administrator and choose your interface language.
- Let the installer finish on its own, then launch the drawing application once.
- Close it and reconnect to the network.

Things worth knowing
- Very large assembly imports are far quicker if the source is exported with unnecessary detail suppressed before it leaves the CAD application.
- The symbol libraries install optionally, they are worth taking even though they add to the install size.
- Turn off the update service if you want the install left exactly as it was set up.
