About this release
Mocha Pro is the planar tracker that a large part of the post industry uses when a track has to hold. Instead of following individual points, it tracks flat surfaces defined by shapes, which is far more robust on the shots that break point trackers, low contrast surfaces, motion blur, and areas that pass behind something. That reliability is why it turns up in the credits pipeline of so many productions.
The tracking feeds the tasks that actually pay the bills. Screen replacements onto a moving phone or monitor, object and rig removals using its clean plate and remove module, matte generation for compositing, and stabilisation. The tracked surface can also solve for a camera and for the geometry of a plane in the shot, which drives insertion of new elements that stick to the scene.
It runs both as a standalone application and as a plugin inside the common editors and compositors, so the tracking data lives where you need it. The roto tools pair X spline and bezier shapes with the tracker so a mask follows a moving subject with a fraction of the manual keyframes hand roto needs, and the whole thing is GPU accelerated for the heavier modules.

Installation notes
Follow these in order. Most reports of a failed install come from skipping a step rather than from the package itself.
- Close every host application before you begin.
- Disconnect from the network.
- Extract the archive to a short path such as C:\Setup.
- Run the installer and select standalone plus the hosts you use.
- Apply the included licensing step before launching.
- Open the standalone or a host and confirm the module loads.

Things worth knowing
- Track a large, flat, well defined surface for the best result, tiny or warped areas give the tracker less to hold.
- The remove module is GPU heavy, expect a wait on high resolution plates with a weaker card.
- It works standalone, but installing the host plugins too keeps the tracking data where you need it.
