About this release
Continuum is a single very large collection of effect plugins that installs across the host editors and compositors on a machine at once. Rather than a handful of standalone effects it is hundreds, organised into units covering the areas most productions repeatedly need, and the point of buying the complete package is that whatever the shot calls for, the tool is probably already there.
The strongest units are the ones that solve real production problems. The keying and compositing tools handle difficult green screen, the planar tracking is built on the same technology as the dedicated tracker so screen replacements and object removals are practical, and the image restoration tools cover the ugly parts of the job like flicker removal, dropout repair and beauty work.
Beyond the practical fixes there is a deep well of creative effects, particle systems, lens flares and lighting, film looks and grain, distortions, transitions and title tools. Everything is GPU accelerated, presets give a starting point for each effect, and the FX Browser lets you audition a look on your own footage before committing it to the timeline.

Installation notes
Follow these in order. Most reports of a failed install come from skipping a step rather than from the package itself.
- Close every host application before you begin.
- Disconnect from the network.
- Extract the archive to a short path such as C:\Setup.
- Run the installer and select which hosts to install into.
- Apply the included licensing step before launching a host.
- Open a host and confirm the effects appear in its effect list.
System requirements
| Host applications | Supported editors and compositors, recent releases |
| Operating system | Windows 10 version 22H2 or Windows 11 |
| Processor | Intel or AMD 64-bit multi core |
| Memory | 16 GB minimum, 32 GB for heavy compositing |
| Graphics | GPU with 4 GB VRAM, 8 GB for particle heavy work |
| Storage | 8 GB free during install |
Things worth knowing
- It is a plugin suite, it needs at least one supported host application present to do anything.
- Install only into the hosts you use, adding it everywhere just lengthens the install.
- The particle and lighting units are GPU heavy, a stronger card pays off there most.
Questions about this title
Does it run on its own?
Which hosts does it support?
Is the tracking as good as the dedicated tool?
Why is a particle effect slow?
What people are saying
Whatever the shot needs, it is usually already in here. That is the value of the complete package.
The keyer pulled a clean matte off a badly lit green screen the stock one gave up on.
Lighting and particles are gorgeous but they want a real GPU. Budget for that.
