About this release

Flow is a small panel that fixes one of the most tedious parts of motion design, which is shaping the ease on a keyframe. Instead of opening the graph editor and dragging bezier handles into place one property at a time, you pick a curve from the panel and it applies to the selected keyframes instantly. The curve is drawn right there, so you see the motion before you commit to it.

The real value shows up once you start saving curves. A move you like becomes a preset with a name, and from then on it is one click on any pair of keyframes, on any layer, in any project. Teams building a house style end up with a shared library of named curves so every animation across a job shares the same feel, which is close to impossible to keep consistent by hand.

It works the way an experienced After Effects user expects. It respects your existing keyframes rather than replacing them, it handles separated position dimensions, and it plays well with the other easing and rigging tools people already run. Installation notes

Follow these in order. Most reports of a failed install come from skipping a step rather than from the package itself.

1. Close After Effects before you start.
2. Disconnect from the network for the install.
3. Copy the panel file into the ScriptUI Panels folder of your After Effects install.
4. Open After Effects and enable allow scripts to write files in preferences.
5. Open the panel from the Window menu and dock it near the timeline.
6. Reconnect to the network.
