About this release
ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate is unusual in packing three tools into one, a fast photo browser and digital asset manager, a non destructive raw developer, and a full layered editor, so a photographer can catalogue a shoot, develop the keepers and composite the hero shots without ever leaving the application. For many people that removes the need for two or three separate programs.
The management side is the historic strength. The browser is genuinely fast on huge folders, and the digital asset management catalogues, rates, keywords and organises a library that runs into the hundreds of thousands of images, with the metadata written where other tools can read it. Finding a specific frame in a deep archive is quick, which is the whole reason to catalogue in the first place.
On top of that sits real editing. The Develop mode is a non destructive raw processor with exposure, colour, detail and lens tools, and the Edit mode is a proper layered compositor with adjustment layers, blend modes, masks and selection tools for the work that goes beyond a global develop. The build here is the full Ultimate version with the layers workflow, raw development and asset management all unlocked.

Installation notes
Follow these in order. Most reports of a failed install come from skipping a step rather than from the package itself.
- Disconnect from the network before you start.
- Extract the archive to a short path such as C:\Setup.
- Run the installer as administrator and complete the wizard.
- Apply the included activation step before first launch.
- Launch once so the database is created, then close it.
- Reconnect to the network.

- The digital asset management database is worth keeping on a fast drive even when the photos live elsewhere.
