About this release
uTorrent became the default client by being tiny. The whole application is a few megabytes, it starts instantly, and it runs in the background using almost nothing while it works. That reputation is what kept it installed on millions of machines long after heavier alternatives appeared.
The controls are more detailed than the small footprint suggests. Global and per transfer bandwidth limits, connection and peer caps, a scheduler that changes those limits by hour so transfers throttle during working hours and open up overnight, and queue management with seeding ratio targets and automatic stopping once a goal is met.
This build is the pro tier, which removes the advertising panels from the interface and adds the extras. Remote management through a browser or phone, so a transfer can be added or paused from anywhere, media playback while a transfer is still running, format conversion for playback on other devices, and priority support features. The interface is otherwise the same familiar layout it has had for years.

Installation notes
Follow these in order. Most reports of a failed install come from skipping a step rather than from the package itself.
- Remove any existing installation from add or remove programs.
- Disconnect from the network.
- Extract the small archive anywhere.
- Run the installer and decline every bundled extra it offers.
- Apply the included licensing step before the first launch.
- Open it once, confirm the advertising panels are gone, then reconnect.

Things worth knowing
- Decline the bundled offers during install, none of them are part of the client.
- Set a global upload limit slightly below your line capacity or your downloads will be starved by your own uploads.
- Turn off the automatic updater so a future version does not undo the pro state.
