About this release
EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard is the tool you reach for after a file is gone, a partition is formatted, or a drive suddenly reads as empty. It scans the storage below the file system level, finds the data that is still physically there even after the entries pointing at it were removed, and rebuilds it into recoverable files. For the everyday disaster of an emptied recycle bin or a formatted card, it is often the whole rescue.
It works in two passes. A quick scan reads the file system for recently deleted entries and returns them fast, and a deep scan then combs the raw sectors for anything the quick pass missed, reconstructing files by their signatures even when the original names and folders are gone. The results come with a preview so you can confirm a document or image is intact before you commit to recovering it.
The bundled bootable environment is what lifts it above a simple undelete tool. When a machine will not start, you boot the WinPE media from a USB stick, run the same recovery against the internal drive from outside the broken installation, and pull the important files onto external storage. It covers hard drives, solid state drives, memory cards and USB sticks, across the common file systems, which makes it a general purpose rescue kit rather than a one trick utility.

Installation notes
Follow these in order. Most reports of a failed install come from skipping a step rather than from the package itself.
- Install this onto a different drive than the one you need to recover, to avoid overwriting the lost data.
- Disconnect from the network before you start.
- Turn off real time protection for the duration.
- Extract and run the installer as administrator.
- Apply the included activation step, then launch the tool.
- For a dead system, build the WinPE media onto a USB stick from a working machine.

Things worth knowing
- Never install to or recover onto the same drive you are rescuing, writing to it can overwrite the very data you want back.
- Stop using a drive the moment you realise data is lost, continued use lowers the odds of a clean recovery.
- A deep scan on a large drive can run for hours, it can be paused and resumed.
