About this release
DiskGenius bundles three jobs that usually mean three separate tools, and does them from one window. It manages partitions, so you resize, move, split, merge, create and format volumes, in many cases without losing the data on them. It recovers data, so a file deleted from the recycle bin, a formatted partition or a drive that has lost its structure can often be pulled back. And it handles the disk itself, cloning a whole drive to a new one, imaging a partition, and reading the health data off a disk.
The recovery side is the part that turns a bad day around. It scans for lost files by directory structure and by file signature, previews what it finds before you commit, and rebuilds a partition table that has been wiped so a drive that shows as raw becomes readable again. Migrating an installation to a new SSD is a guided clone that copies everything and aligns the partitions so the target boots.
It runs as an ordinary Windows application, a portable build, or from bootable media for the cases where Windows will not start and the disk needs work from outside. This is the professional edition, which unlocks the deeper recovery, the full cloning and the sector level tools that the free tier holds back, prepared here to install in an activated state.
What it does

- Lost partition recovery that rebuilds a wiped table
- Whole disk cloning with partition alignment for a bootable target
- Partition and disk imaging for backup and restore
- Disk health reading with the drive's own diagnostics
- Bootable media for working on a disk when Windows will not start
- Sector level hex editing for advanced repair

- Updated the bootable media builder for current hardware
What the package contains
- DiskGenius Professional full installer
- Portable build alongside the installer
- Bootable media builder

- Readme with the install order written out step by step
Installation notes
Follow these in order. Most reports of a failed install come from skipping a step rather than from the package itself.
- Extract the archive to a folder, ideally on a drive you are not about to work on.
- Run the installer, or unzip the portable build and run it in place.
- Apply the included activation step on first launch.
- For offline work, use the builder to create bootable media on a spare stick.
- Open the application and confirm it sees your disks.
- Keep a backup before any destructive operation.
System requirements
| Operating system | Windows 7 or newer, 32-bit or 64-bit |
| Processor | Any 1 GHz or faster processor |
| Memory | 2 GB minimum, more helps a large recovery scan |
| Graphics | No requirement |
| Storage | 200 MB for the install, separate space for recovered files |
| Display | 1024 by 768 minimum |
Things worth knowing
- Never recover files back onto the same drive you are recovering from, use a different disk.
- Take an image before a risky partition operation, resizing is safe but power loss during it is not.
- Run the professional tools from bootable media when the system disk itself is the patient.

What people are saying
Pulled a folder of photos off a drive that showed as raw. Rebuilt the partition and there they were.
Cloned my whole Windows install to a new NVMe. Booted first time, partitions aligned. Painless.
Resized three partitions without drama. Took an image first like the notes say, and it was fine.
